Anna Adarsh College, affiliated to University of Madras and accredited by NAAC with ?A? grade is a premier self financing educational institution established in 1985 by the Punjab Association. The college is the handy work of the band of visionaries who believed in catering to all kind of students immaterial to their social and economic background. Located in a prominent and easily accessible part of Chennai, Anna Nagar, the college comprises a spacious campus in a serene ambience. The college caters to 4500 students in 16 undergraduate and 9 postgraduate departments, including two research departments and 10 certificate and add-on courses, and is staffed by a 200 person strong teaching team. The student have a sustained record of academic excellence for over nearly 3 decades with university ranks of 178 in 2009, 183 in 2010, 192 in 2011 and 192 in 2012. The India Post released a special first day cover to commemorate of the exemplary service rendered by the college. The Dharmasamasthapana award was presented to the college for upholding values and heritage. The college has two international players in Karate, fourteen national-level players and Three students have been accorded the prestigious University Blues status. This academic year?s courses have also received an overwhelming response from students and are much sought after. The college has been graded amongst the top 5 Chennai city colleges by Times of India.
