Adi Sankara Training College

Adi Sankara Training College named after the great philosopher, Sri Sri Adi Sankaracharya , a radiant figure, the rays of whose stupendous activities, enlighted the whole world, has been established at the holy place of Kalady during the year 2005-2006. Our sole vision is to perpetuate the memory of the great acharya, saint, philosopher and to develop Kalady, his birth place, a prominent cultural centre and also with the aim of providing value added teacher education to the needy people of the area. Adi Sankara Institute of Teacher education keeps a mission to mould the future teachers of our country with strong base on Philosophy, Psychology and to create awareness on many innovative teaching methods and technology. Our college is emerging as a centre of excellence in education in the state. The achievement and the general records of credibility of the training college are the result of dedicated team work of the faculty and the management. Adisankara Trust was registered as a public charitable trust on 30.7.1998. Office bearers are Managing Trustee & Board of Trustees with Dr. B.S.Krishnan, Senior Advocate, High Court of Kerala, Cochin as Managing Trustee. This Training College is run by Adi Sankara Trust with the benign blessing of Sri Sri Baharathi Thirtha Mahaswamigal of Sree Sarada Peetham, Sringeri. His Holiness guides the administration of all the college, including this Training college through a board of trustees. At present, the management of the training college is in the very competent hands of Dr. B.S.Krishnan, the managing trustee and the college activities are monitored by Prof. P.S.Ramachandran, the chief executive officer of the educational institutions.
