Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College, the first self financing Agricultural College in Tamil Nadu, was established at G. B. Nagar, Kalavai, Vellore district in the year 1999 and affiliatedto Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Coimbatore. Initially APAC was started with B.Sc (Agri.) programmewith an intake of 35 students. Later it was increased to 70 and in the year 2008 -2009 it was increased to 120. In the academic year 2003-2004, B.Sc (Horti.) programme was initiated with a strength of 30 students. Later on in the year 2010 -2011 the strength was increased to 50 and the current intake is 60 students. During the academic year 2008-09, Adhiparasakthi Institute of Agriculture was started to train the students for Diploma in agriculture with an intake strength of 50 and further increased to 70. From the academic year 2012-2013 two new P.G. Courses namely M.Sc., (Horti) in Vegetable Science and M.Sc., (Agri) in Plant pathology were started with an intake of 4 students in each course..
