Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College

charya Jagadish Chandra Bose College, Kolkata, formerly known as Birla College of Science and Education, was established in 1969 with the merging of Birla College of Science and Birla College of Education. In 1987 it was renamed as Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College, by the name of great scientist, Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose. The college is affiliated to Calcutta University and accredited by NAAC. The college is also listed for grants under the University Grants Commission, Govt. of India. They sincerely recognize and reward the excellence for bringing out the best from the students, to motivate their faculties and employees in exceeding their limitation only to raise the standard of educational excellence in the society. They also strongly believe that education is the continuous process of adjustment with the environment and hence in the motto of attributing the idea into the minds of the disciples so that they may harbinger the glorious future of Bengal.
