Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal was established in 1998, under the able and dynamic leadership of Honorable Prof. T. J. Sawant. He has not only established himself as renowned entrepreneur but also is in the field of engineering education for more than a decade. Driven by a mission of providing an excellent quality education JSPM?s society has left no stone unturned in setting up Abacus Institute of Computer Applications (AIOCA), in Pune. JSPM?s Abacus Institute of Computer Applications was established in 2007 as a standalone MCA institute. The institute is located at JSPM?s Hadapsar Campus. The AIOCA conducts 3 year MCA PG course and Ph.D. in Computer Management. The institute is situated in the heart of Pune city, just 12 Kms from the Pune Railway Station, and 15 Kms from Lohagaon Airport. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Govt. of Maharashtra; it is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The director of the institute is Dr. M. M. Puri. The students are admitted based upon their score in MH-MCA-CET conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai, (website www.dte.org.in.) or MAMI-MCA-CET Conducted by Management Association of MCA Institute called as MAMI (website www.mamimca.org) for MCA Programme. As the institute has started functioning from year 2007, it is in the process of applying for accreditation.
