Waikhom Mani Girl's College

The Waikhom Mani Girls? College is the only girls? College in Thoubal District that promotes women higher education in rural areas from 10+2 to degree levels. 10+2 level is looked after by a senior most teacher and affiliated to Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur and under graduate level is permanently affiliated to Manipur University on 10th October 1997. The College is included under section 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act 1956 on April 1998. The College set up two units of National Service Scheme (NSS) unit I and unit II. The 65th Manipur girls? cadet corps (NCC) unit was set up at the College in 1986. The Institute is manage by a governing body of six members of these Chairman is the donor?s nominee, the Principal act as the Secretary, two teachers representatives nominated by the Teachers? Association and two University nominees are members.
