University Maharani'S College

It is with this motto that Maharani College embarked on its journey of providing opportunities for higher education to girls. The University Maharani College stands apart as an epitome of foresightedness of its founders, hard work of its staff and has paved the way for women's education in the feudal state of Rajasthan. The college has grown leaps and bounds ever since its inception. Established on 1st August 1944 with only 11 girls and 3 teachers in Madho Vilas under the patronage of the royal family especially Maharani Gayatri Devi, and called Intermediate College for Women, it has witnessed a meteoric rise and reached its present strength of more than 8000 students. Today it is Asia's largest multi faculty college.
