Sridevi Women's Engineering College(SWEC)-College code D2 was established in the Academic year 2001-2002 with the approval of AICTE,New Delhi and Government of A.P. The College is affiliated to J.N.T.U.Hyderabad and sponsored by Sridevi Education Society. hand-swec SWEC is registered under the societies registration Act (Reg.No:4973/97), in furtherance of its objectives to fulfill long felt educational needs of the state and nation, has started this institute in the Academic year 2001-2002 with an intake of 180 students. Sridevi Women?s Engineering College provides perfect academic environment and latest learning resources to help the students make the most of their career goals. Up to 2003 , the college comprised of engineering departments ? CSE, ECE, EEE. Thereafter college expanded and new departments-- Information Technology and EIE were added gradually. PG programmes MBA and M.Tech were added subsequently. SWEC currently offers various M.Tech courses along with B.Tech courses that includes Software Engineering(24)-IT, Computer Science(24)-CSE , Computer Science and Engineering(18)-CSE, Power Electronics(18)-EEE, Embedded Systems(18)-ECE, VLSI(18)-ECE, DECS(24)-ECE & CNIS(18). The present intake of students for the four year B-Tech degree programme is 660 and for the PG programme (M.Tech and MBA) is 276. The total strength of the institution is 2676.
