It was in the year 2004 that the Athena Primary Teachers? Training Institute came into being at Churamonipur, Sonamukhi in the district of Bankura (W.B.) under the aegies of the Athena Educational Social and Charitable Trust. Against the background of escalating demand for admission to Primary Teachers? Training, The trust felt the necessity of establishing such an Institute which will enable a vast majority of students to have a rewarding career of serving as qualified Primary Teachers. Actuated by humanitarian angle of vision, the Trust founded the Institution.
